Clare Irons

Clare Irons

BforGood Programme Manager

The Whakatipu Basin is Clare’s chosen home and when she and her family moved here, she found the best way to get to know the community was to volunteer, supporting both the Arrowtown Preschool and Baskets of Blessing as a trustee.

Clare is passionate about helping communities thrive and has been involved with one of our Initiatives, Impact100 Wakatipu, since it was founded in 2020. She has served as its Chair for the past 3 years.

Clare has an extensive background in fundraising and philanthropy, working as a philanthropic advisor, supporting a variety of clients. She has also worked for a number of non-profits in advocacy, programme development and fundraising, most recently as Fundraising and Partnerships Lead, for Materiom, where she secured multi-year funding with Google.org.

Clare has also worked in the Corporate sector, as part of the Credit Suisse EMEA Corporate Citizenship team, managing European employee engagement and grant partnerships.

Clare understands what it takes to build successful community / business partnerships - and how when these are done well they can have a huge impact, in the community and on the business. Partnering together makes sense. Clare is excited to be leading our newest initiative BforGood which, at its heart, wants to help foster successful partnerships to enable our community to thrive.
